Competition: Montreal Thinks They Can Dance?
Hey Guys, just an FYI...The Montreal Thinks They Can Dance competition will be back again in a few months! After last year's great success that saw Snax and Venom take the first prize of $5000 with a great krumping routine, the competition is sure to be fierce this time around!
Joey has reviewed many suggestions from last year and has made some major changes that are sure to drastically improve the competition.
These are some of the preliminary details:
1) The competition will be held once a week instead of every night of 1 given week.
2) Each week 8 couples of a CHOSEN STYLE will compete against each other...for example: 8 salsa couples will compete against each other and only the top few couples will advance. This means that Ballroom, Hip-Hop, and Salsa couples will not compete against each other until the finals. Furthermore, this ensures that the strongest couples in each style will advance to the finals.
3) For now, there will be 3 styles: Ballroom, Hip-Hop and Salsa. Once again, each style will have their own night of qualifying.
4) Joey mentioned that there will also be a change in the judging format.
5) This year's competition is going to be sometime in May (exact date to be confirmed). Many couples have already registered! If there are any ballroom, hip-hop, or salsa dancers that are interested in competing, contact Joey at Club 649 ASAP as there are only a handful of spots left. You have to be a COUPLE, meaning 2 dancers M/F, F/F or M/M. No team or solo entries will be accepted.
These are the unofficial preliminary details. Stay tuned for updates!

Montreal Thinks They Can Dance: Update!!!
Hey Guys,
The Hip Hop / Break Round was a huge success!!! We had the chance to see 9 extremely entertaining duos that pulled out every trick in the book! The competition was so intense that after the point calculations at the end of the night, last year's champions Snaxx & Venom were not among the top 3 (despite a great performance) - that means that there will be a new champion crowned for this year's event!!!
Congratulations go out to the top 3 duos of the night: Trek Trek Boom, Pure Damage, and Jordan & Gregory.
The next round is this coming Thursday. Next up is the Salsa round. Be sure not to miss your favorite salsa dancers in Montreal compete against each other for a spot in the finals and a chance to win $5000!!! PLUS there will be a few surprises that you won't want to miss!!!!
Tickets are available in advance at Club 649 for $12 or $15 at the door.
Thanks,
Wesley

Montreal Thinks They Can Dance: Update #2!!!!!!
Hey Guys,
The Salsa Round begun with a special presentation of 2 of last weeks finalists: Pure Damage and Jordan & Gregory. These two duos were once again incredible!!! The night then continued with a swing couple whose score will be used to compare them with next week's ballroom dancers (they performed this week as they will be in Russia next week and will be unable to compete on Thursday).
The salsa couples advancing (Victor&Katia, Edson&Marie-Denise, Walter&Audrey) all put on an amazing show.
Please see the link below for the ballroom round. This will be the last round before the finals. Montreal's best ballroom dancers will take the floor to earn their spot in the finals and a chance at $5000!
Congratulations go out to the finalists from the previous rounds:
Hip Hop:
1) Trek Trek Boom
2) Pure Damage
3) Jordan & Gregory
Salsa:
1) Victor & Katia
2) Edson & Marie-Denise

Routine imbatable
